  • Feb 6 2017 - Nick Nebzydoski
The Officers and members of Pleasant Mount Emergency Services would like to extend our sincere condolences to his wife Kristin, daughter Gwyn, parents Tom and Sharon Nebzydoski, sister Melissa (and Mike) Chiarelli, and the entire Nebzydoski family on the untimely passing of Nick Nebzydoski. Nick was a vibrant member of the community and was always willing to help out in any that that he could. Nick purchased our former fire station and was very instrumental in helping PMES move forward to attain our new building. Over the years, Nick was there when we built our BBQ pit & rewired the chicken racks. Every year, Nick, Tom and Sharon donate gallons of Maple syrup to our annual pancake breakfast. Nick was a husband, father, son, and brother, and a man that will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sponsored by Office of the State Fire Commissioner
Hosted by Pike County Training Center, 135 Pike County Blvd. Lords Valley, PA 18428
Firefighters must have the courage to face a multitude of risks in order to save lives and protect their communities. Their courage allows them to willingly risk their own lives so that others can be saved. A different type of courage is required to "stay safe" in potentially dangerous situations, avoiding needless risks and tragic consequences. "The Courage To Be Safe... So Everyone Goes Home", a provocative presentation taught by Office of the State Fire Commissioner staff, is designed to change the culture of accepting the loss of firefighters as a normal occurrence. This 3.5 hour program promotes the courage to do the "right thing" in order to protect yourself and other firefighters and ensure that "Everyone Goes Home" at the end of the day.
